Cheesy, easy with a pop of spring from some fresh green onions. These drop biscuits are super fluffy and go great with just about any meal this time of year. While traditional biscuits are AMAZING, melting the butter and just dropping them on the baking sheet cuts down on so much time that some days our hunger tolerances just can’t handle, so this is a really quick way to whip some up in no time.
1T baking powder
1t black pepper
1 1/2c cheddar cheese, shredded (pretty much any shredded cheese will work)
1c green onion, chopped (chives, scallions work too)
1/3c butter, melted
1c milk of choice or buttermilk
Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt and pepper. Add cheese and green onions, toss to coat in the flour mixture. Pour in milk and melted butter, stir to combine. Spoon/scoop out 12 drop biscuits onto a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
