CINNAMON PECAN DROP SCONES

Buttery quick biscuits loaded with cinnamon, nutmeg and chopped pecans baked until fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside then drizzled with a little icing to finish them off. So delicious and perfect for when you have a house full of people!

INGREDIENTS

2c flour
1T baking powder
1/4t salt
2T sugar
2T brown sugar
3/4t cinnamon
1/4t nutmeg
1/2c pecans, toasted and chopped
3/4c milk
1/3c butter, melted

1/2c powdered sugar
2-3t milk

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans. Pour in milk and melted butter, stir to combine. Spoon/scoop out 10-12 large scones (or 20-24 small) onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes (15-16 minutes small).

While the scones cool to room temp, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2-3t milk until you get a smooth, pourable yet thick consistency. Drizzle over scones and let them set for about 10 minutes before serving.

ENJOY!
