You’re gonna love these! Pretzels, pecans, and cereal squares tossed in lots of spices, butter and maple syrup then toasted until crunchy and so darn flavorful! A little sweet, a little spicy, a little addictive.
INGREDIENTS
1/4t salt
1/2t black pepper
1/2t thyme
1/4t garlic powder
1/2t turmeric
1/2t red pepper flakes
1/2c butter, melted
1/3c maple syrup
2 1/2c multigrain square cereal (I used Cascading Farms)
1c pecans, raw
2c pretzels
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 325°F.
Dump spices in a large bowl then pour in melted butter (while its still hot so it really wakes up the spices). Give it a good stir then stir in maple, until smooth.
Add cereal, pecans and pretzels and stir until completely coated and all of the liquid is absorbed.
Spread out on a large parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Pull out of the oven, give it a toss and bake again for 12-15 minutes.
Allow to cool to the touch before serving.
