The perfect high protein crunchy snack we all need! Chickpeas tossed in schwarma-style spices then roasted til crisp. So crunchy and delicious!
INGREDIENTS – serves 2-4
1 1/2c chickpeas, homecooked or 1 can, drained and rinsed
1/8t salt
1/4t black pepper
1/4t garlic powder
1/4t turmeric
1/4t cumin
1/8t cardamom
1/8t coriander
1/8-1/4t red pepper flakes
2T olive oil
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a medium to large bowl with a towel. Pour chickpeas on the towel, fold the edges over and give it a little shake with your hand to dry the chickpeas a bit. Remove the towel, leaving the chickpeas in the bowl.
Sprinkle in spices, drizzle in the olive oil and give it a good stir.
Pour on to a large parchment lined baking sheet, spread them out a bit then roast for 30-35 minutes.
Allow to cool to the touch.
