SALTED TRAIL MIX CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

These cookies are crispy around the edge, a little chewy in the middle with lots of chocolate chips, then get loaded up with your favorite trail mix and finished with a sprinkle of sea salt. Its such a fun way to jazz up my go to chocolate chip cookies. Your gonna love em!

INGREDIENTS

1c butter, room temp
3/4c sugar
3/4c brown sugar
1t vanilla
2 eggs, room temp
2 1/4c flour
1t baking soda
1/4t salt
1/2t cinnamon
1/4t nutmeg
2c trail mix, roughly chopped (I like to use a nutty one with lots of dried fruit)
1/2-1c chocolate chips (measure with your heart)

Sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Beat butter and sugars together until light and creamy, about 10 minutes. Add vanilla and eggs, continue to beat until smooth and fluffy.

Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, then pour into the butter mixture and stir until almost combined. Finish by folding in the trail mix and chocolate chips. Scoop into ping pong-sized balls onto a parchment lined baking sheet about 3-4″ apart. Sprinkle with a little sea salt then bake for 8-10 minutes.

ENJOY!
